“ Kay Kay puts her soul and heart in her yoga classes. She keeps her students practice and progress as her main goal. I have seen Kay Kay evolve since her first yoga class on the beach in Lake Tahoe. She continues to grow, learn, and give back to her students. Her classes are creative, fun, soulful, challenging, relaxing, invigorating - depending on what you need that day."

" I try and get on the water every day! If I cant get on the water, I am on my mountain bike, dirt bike, fishing, or just hiking with my dog. Starting the morning with a yoga class from Kay Kay is the best way to get your mind and body ready for anything and everything the day has to offer!”

“ Kay kay is the most beautiful soul inside and out.  I have practiced with her for at least 5 years and she has taken my yoga beyond anything I ever imagined.  She’s helped me embrace yoga as a daily practice which nurtures the body and the mind.  Kay kay continues to educate and nurture herself bringing so many wonderful facets to our lives.  When I get to La Ventana my season is not complete until I’ve got my Kay kay fix!”

“ When you walk into Kay Kay’s class you are being invited into a sacred space, where physical movement is blended perfectly with spirituality. Balancing these two aspects together is not always easy, and it must be done by someone who is truly authentic in their practice - Kay Kay is that person and it’s why her classes are so wonderful and popular! She is a truly gifted teacher and a kind and compassionate human being. When I leave Kay Kay’s class not only is my body rejuvenated so is my soul.”

- Meredith Hooke, Writer & meditation teacher

“ I’ve been wanting to practice with Kay Kay for a long time, yet it was challenging as she’s in Mexico and I am in Europe. Lockdown made it possible and I absolutely love my weekly Sunday Yin class. It’s such an amazing end to my week. I love that Kay Kay doesn’t just show up to teach, she shows up with her heart on her sleeve, sharing her own challenges and celebrations to inspire all of us. Thank you for being you and thank you for sharing your magic with us!”

“ I truly appreciate Kay Kay’s positive teaching style.  She personally engages all her students and helps us to reach our full potential by encouraging, supporting and motivating us.  She offers alternative moves and positions so we don’t injure our bodies but also gently challenges us to deepen our yoga moves.  I look forward to every class with Kay Kay because I know I will have the best yoga experience possible.”

- Eunice Martin, Retired teacher

“ Kay Kay's yoga classes not only get your body moving, but also have a powerful mental aspect to them. She connects us all with her insightful readings and beautiful messages at the beginning and/or end of class. Another special thing I like about her classes is her method of reminding you to breath with the words "breath in, breath out, 1", counting to 5. It creates a rhythmic flow and helps you to move with your breath. Her classes are very special spiritually and physically. Namaste!”

“ My experiences in taking Kay Kay’s  classes have been fantastic on so many levels. She provides a warm and supportive energy for her students. She is always attentive to everyone’s needs. Her yoga wisdom, enjoyment for teaching and  sense of calm are among the first things one senses when getting on the mat. Her narrative provides information on the core, ancient principles of yoga, and interesting  observations on life. I am very grateful that she has helped me find my love for yoga again. Thank you Kay Kay!”

“ I really enjoy Kay Kay’s yoga classes—the variety of styles and how she combines both the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga. I love the athletic challenge of her Vinyasa classes, which are pretty rigorous. Kay Kay is great at providing the building blocks to work up to difficult poses and offers helpful cues and adjustments. Her Yin classes are super slow—very grounding and nurturing. But my favorite of all is VinYin, the perfect combination of getting a little sweat on followed by relaxation and stretching. No matter what the class, Kay Kay always infuses some sort of spiritual lesson, which I find myself pondering for the rest of the day. She also mixes in chanting, harmonium, meditating, good music, and maybe even singing bowls or incense, creating a total sensory experience for the soul.”

- Avery Stonich, Writer

“ I have had the pleasure of enjoying Kay Kay’s classes for the last 5 years. I was completely new to yoga and she had just started teaching. Kay Kay has patiently helped me grow my practice from barely touching my knees to the floor in cross legged, to having them comfortably down now. She guided me to my first full crow, full wheel and many other more advanced poses. While some basic things stay the same, she still surprises me with new poses and sequences after all these years. She is an amazing and very talented teacher. Passing her knowledge on, comes second nature to her. However, its not all about the poses and physicality, she shines in her spirituality and guidance in meditation and exploring our chakras. Kay Kay lives Yoga and it shows. She constantly is reinventing herself and developing her teachings not only through experimentation and innovation but also solid, constant further education and training. I feel very fortunate to have her as my teacher and friend. Namaste.”

“ Kay Kay’s practice is just the right combination of rejuvenation, relaxation, challenge and stretch.  As a professional athlete, it is vital that I stay strong and flexible so when I found Kay Kay’s class in Baja, it was the perfect compliment to my intense days on the water.  Her manner is inviting yet confident as she guides you with the attention and care to help you get just what your body needs out of your practice.'“

- Collen Caroll, Pro Kiteboarder

“ Kay Kay is one of my favourite yoga instructors! If you want a challenging, fun and well balanced vinyasa class, practice with Kay Kay! She not only creates unique sequences, she incorporates pranayama and chanting along with her harmonium.”

- Tia Mar, Physical Therapist

“ I have attended Kay Kay's Yoga classes for several years, and I have been trying to find one word to describe her as a Yogi and also what her classes meant to me.  "Authentic" is the word that fits for me.  Her classes always challenged me to push - just a little further, whether it be physically and/or spiritually. She incorporated a depth into her practice with music, mantras, meditation and sharing.I loved being in her presence, her energy was calming and always without judgement.  She is always very courageous in sharing what she was personally working on - which in turn encouraged me to not give up on my own journey to self-awareness.  On a practical note, she always gently corrected postures to ensure proper technique. I also want to include how her touch has a special gentleness that is difficult to describe but suffice to say it was comforting, healing and soothing.”
